I've made a start with a book reader in javafx.

Currently, it can read most pdf, cbr and cbz files, next in line is epub.

Test: click here
(note: It asks for permission, it needs to be able to open your local stored books)

To do:
- use the catalog as a library, complete with tags, different catagories andso on.

Remote switch

My old remote switch ( a Canon RS-80N3 ) dead in december after two years of service, so I needed a new shutter release thing. Canon has got two models, the simpel one and the expensive one with interval options. I would like to have to advanced one, but it was a bit too expensive for my taste, but I found an alternative:

The Twin1 ISR (Interval Shutter Release)

Same price as the basic Canon model, but with the interval options of the expensive one.

Today the package arrived and I used my lunch break for some quick testing...I will have to use it tomorrow so it was just in time.

First impression:
- it works :)

Not only as basic device (which will work without battery) with shutter control and bulb, but also as interval release, complete with exposure control. Time-lapse, here I come ;)
