Brewery Eylenbosch
This brewery closed in 1989 and was known for its heavy beers Geuze and Lambiek.

When I arrived at the old brewery I looked around for a way in, but high gates and a firm brick wall were blocking my way...
But...don't forget the check the maingate, or in this case, the second main gate, it wasn't locked
Easy acces mostly means that the location is trashed...and yes this wasn't an exception on that rule.

All kinds of administration documentation on the floor, going back till 1884

Exploring the building for something worth photographing I went up to the highest tower...but no luck there, everything was empty but at least I had a nice view of the surroundings

And there it was...the attic of one of the other building was filled with old barrels and bottles in wooden crates

The exploring part is fun though even though I think this location wasn't that good... Maybe I'm getting spoiled
All photos were made with my 10-22 lens, HDR with photomatix and toning with Lightroom.

beautifull (in a way).
I'd like to do some exploring myself, but i'm not that mobile (no car, no-one who wants to drive me).
i know. lame excuse.

Great location! My girlfriend took some similar pictures about a month ago in an abandoned orphanage, really creepy vibe, but beautiful at the same time...
Is there a reason to put vignettes on each of your pictures? Especially the one from the "tower", I don't find it improving that picture....

I know on outside shots it doesn't work well, but I've applied my preset on all images

Didn't happen to find any untouched bottles which you could taste?

Nope, but I don't drink beer anyway
There is a story that a few years ago some other brewery needed those wooden barrels, but then discovered that some were filled with more than 15 year old Lambiek and it still tasted good

Qless:
Massive respect for these (and all of your other) pictures!
You seem to find those erie looking locations naturally. Everytime you post a new topic, i'm eager to watch. I would like to thank you for providing me with lots of desktopbackgrounds.
I love that, apart from posting your pictures on the forum, you started writing blogs about your Urban Explorations. The stories behind the locations are very welcome. I love to read and see about 'forgotten' places and espacialy those places where people just disapeared and left everything behind are beautiful!
Keep up the good work!

Losstaand: Waarom gaan we hier allemaal als een stel Nederlandse malloten Engels tegen elkaar praten?
