Chateau du Loup
Last sunday I went on an urbex trip after a little tip. Destination: A small abandoned castle somewhere in Belgium...
After some difficulty to get in, I found myself standing in a grand hallway with one of the most beautiful marble staircases I ever saw, even the glass-in-lead window behind it was in perfect condition...
This castle was build in 1913 and abandoned in 2002. It will be reconverted, and some works have already been done, like installing steel I-Beams on the attic for stability.

Oh and a little pic to show that urbexing can be dangerous for clothes, that was wat was left of my pants after climbing in
Guess I'm more flexible than my clothes

26 meter below Antwerp
A few months ago I got the chance to go below the antwerp city, deep below. More than 30 years ago a lot of tunnels for the premetro were build, but a most of these tunnels and stations were never used...

At the deepest point the line even dives under the Antwerp highway ring at approx. 26 meters below the normal ground level.

VDSL2
Today 4 men from Belgacom repaired my phone line to be able to get the VDSL signal working (still had ADSL working)I got a good look at how the phone line infrastructure in our street is working.
A normal phone line has at least 4 wires, 2 pairs. One pair has a short route to the cable junction box (KVD) the other one travels to the end and returns there.
For every connection the ROP has 2 pairs also, one for POTS/VDSL2 signal from the customer, and one returning from the splitter with only the POTS signal.
Schema:

My old wire didn't work on the shortest route (which doesn't matter much with ADSL) thats why the VDSL2 didn't want to connect. Now I am on a totally new pair, with the short route on VDSL2 and the long route on ADSL (which I still have to cancel...)
Reconnecting my cable to another wire-pair
